Pixel Laser Resurfacing

Pixel Laser Treatment uses an erbium resurfacing laser to gradually, gently resurface only a fraction of your skin at a time with thousands of tiny microscopic laser spots. Instead of resurfacing all of your skin at once, Pixel Laser Treatment removes thousands of tiny discrete spots of damaged skin in a honeycomb-like pattern. Every “pixel” of treated skin is surrounded by intact, unaffected skin which allows the ablated “dots” to heal far more quickly than if the entire area were resurfaced all at once. Pixel laser treatments offer the effectiveness of ablative resurfacing lasers without the risk or lengthy healing time. Most patients only experience mild swelling and redness for a day or two; make-up can be worn immediately and patients can usually return to work the same day. Because only a fraction of your skin is being resurfaced at a time, 4 to 5 treatment sessions are typically required for maximal benefit.
